The DCP Series is a line of integrated Digital Cinema Processors that bring together all the essential functions of cinema audio: crossovers, booth monitor, routing, EQ, and status monitoring. DCP processors tame the complexity of projection booth audio systems, replacing an assortment of separately sourced parts with a single box that handles everything. Wiring is drastically simplified. Operation is straightforward and intuitive. Networking is comprehensive and extensible. And control — both local and remote — is exhaustive. Simply put, the DCP Series is the world’s most capable and efficient cinema processing solution.

  • The digital advantage
Designed expressly for the needs of D-Cinema sound systems, the DCP Series takes full advantage of the flexibility and control enabled by digital processing:
  • Digital signal processing — Faster and more precise than traditional analog crossovers and equalizers, DCP processors feature advanced DSP tools to maximize system performance, including adjustable crossover frequencies, graphic and parametric EQ, polarity, delay, and gain.
  • Built-in presets — Built-in DSP presets tailor each channel’s signal for any QSC DCS speaker model. Further fine-tuning can be saved as your own presets for later reuse.
  • Less wiring — As a single-box solution, DCP Series processors greatly simplify system wiring, saving significant installation time and labor cost. Connect a D-Cinema server and/or 35mm cinema processor to DCP inputs via a standard DB-25 cable. Connect DCA amplifiers, both audio and monitoring, via the VGA-style QSC DataPort interface, eliminating tedious barrier strip or XLR terminations. Everything in-between is already connected inside the unit.
  • Fast, repeatable configuration —A PC-based software interface with menu-driven set-up enables quick configuration of signal flow and parameter presets. All configuration data can be saved to an SD memory card for backup and to quickly reproduce settings on other DCP units.

Advanced monitoring — Beyond simple monitoring of amplifier ins and outs, DCP Series processors use QSC-exclusive “load fault” detection to confirm proper loudspeaker connection. The DCP also reports amplifier clipping, heat sink temperature, and protect modes. You can build custom control screens with QSCreator and use the NAC 100 remote control panel for PC-free control over Ethernet from anywhere in your multiplex. And you’ll also have the option of local or remote fault reporting and diagnosis via SNMP.

A solution for every system
Each processor in the DCP Series is tailored to meet the distinct needs of different sizes and levels of auditoriums:

  • DCP 300 is our top-of-the-line digital cinema processor. Handling three to five screen channels, and configurable for passive, bi-, tri- or quad-amp operation, the DCP 300 is also compatible with all analog cinema processor formats and features a 10-channel analog input for integration with 35mm audio systems.
  • DCP 200 is designed for systems in which audio will be distributed to QSC DXP Digital Expansion processors using a CobraNet™ network. Handling crossovers and amp connections for screen channels via BASIS allows the DCP 200 to offer DCP 300 functionality at a significant savings in speaker cabling.
  • DCP 100 is designed for systems of no more than eight-channels in which all amplifiers will connect directly to the DCP via QSC DataPort. With no need for CobraNet support, the DCP 100 offers nearly all the advantages of a DCP 300 but at a lower price point. Supporting two or four surround channels, the DCP 100 replaces DCM Series monitors for digital projection retrofits.
